Youll fit in well with us at Medstrom, where we have disrupted the market by providing proven and well-evidenced products and services to our busy customers, helping to make a real difference to both their workload and, crucially, their patients outcomes.

We are now looking for a Logistics Operative to join our Manufacturing Team on a full-time, permanent basis, working Monday to Friday.

The Benefits:

  • Starting salary of £26,648 per annum
  • Contributory pension scheme

  • Death in Service benefit provided
  • Be a part of an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) and the associated benefits of having a stake in the company

The Role:

As a Logistics Operative, you will support the manufacturing process by managing and controlling the flow of raw material into the manufacturing facility and the despatch of finished goods to stock or customer site as required.

Specifically, you will:

  • Receive goods inwards, book in and store accordingly
  • Ensure an accurate inventory is always available
  • Load and unload vehicles using a counterbalance forklift
  • Pick raw material stock as required by Production Assembly Operatives, ensuring stock levels are replenished on a daily basis
  • Monitor and control raw materials, recording supplier delays and notifying appropriate parties of concern

  • General housekeeping of the Goods In/Despatch functions, ensuring a safe working environment is maintained at all times
  • Support the preparation of products for despatch, ensuring they are packaged, loaded, and handled correctly to eliminate damage during transit
  • Ensure all goods in/despatch paperwork is submitted to the relevant internal parties in a timely manner

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, working 8am - 4pm (no weekend work unless absolutely necessary).

About You:

To join us as a Logistics Operative, you will need:

  • Full UK driving licence to travel between business sites
  • A valid forklift licence is desirable, although training is available
  • Previous experience in a busy goods in/despatch environment
  • Proven ability to adhere to strict production deadlines
  • An understanding of computerised stock control systems
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good computer skills with the ability to update systems accurately and efficiently
  • The ability to provide clear and concise communications either verbally or in writing
  • A good team player
  • A flexible and adaptable attitude with the ability to work additional hours if needed

In addition to the salary and related benefits, you will join a company that has grown extensively within the last five years and, through our unique ownership model, is continuing to grow, whilst offering great career opportunities for those who are keen to progress.

Established in 2010, Medstrom has grown substantially by being patient-focused to become the organisation we are today, whilst maintaining an open culture and ethos. In 2022, Medstrom became an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT), unlike any other company in the industry. This allows each employee to have a vested interest in the company, where we can all contribute to and share in the companys success.
