We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and established Environmental and Compliance Lead to join the HS&E Department at our Head Office in Castle Donington, Leicestershire/Derbyshire.

The Role
You will be responsible for the business's compliance with UK Environmental and Sustainability legislation, alongside supporting the Health and Safety Manager with various activities.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Responsible for compliance with ISO14001 Environmental standard certification alongside the H&S Manager, ensuring all documentation, Risk assessments and records are maintained for annual external audits and maintenance of certification
- Ensuring compliance with UK environmental legislation
- Collate data and records information for environmental reporting (Waste packaging, CO2 emissions)
- Lead projects for Environmental impact reduction
- Responsible for the ESOS action plan
- Contributes to all sustainability projects
- Communicate the importance of Environmental impacts to the wider business
- Administration support for the Health, Safety and Environmental Systems
- Support the review, creation and issuing of HS&E Documentation such as SOPs, training materials, and risk assessments
- Prepare and distribute a variety of communications, including PowerPoints, minutes, news posts and Toolbox Talks
Hours of Work: 37.5 per week, Monday - Friday (approx. 8am - 4pm) based at Castle Donington.
About You:
- Ideally, you will hold an Environmental qualification or have held an equivalent role for at least 3 years (an interest in Health and Safety aspects would be desirable)
- Computer literate, excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, knowledge/experience of Visio would be advantageous
- Experience of working in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Possess the ability to communicate and influence at all levels
- Confident to be able to present and inspire others
- Ability to capture an audience and encourage engagement and interaction with HS&E topics
- Full driving licence desirable as some travel may be required
