Job Description Trainee Service Technician If you're a motivated, customer-focused individual with a clean driver’s licence and a can-do attitude, we want to hear from you. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Trainee Service Technician to join our team based at our Sheffield service centre. After training, this will include the delivery and set up of products for patients, within agreed delivery times, repair and proactive maintenance of products, and support at the delivery stage to customers in various clinical environments. This role follows our Career Pathway, with clearly defined training, experience, and knowledge to enable you to progress your career with Medstrom. Driving the company van to different hospitals within the region Collecting products after use and transporting them to the service location for decontamination Disinfecting, function checking, repairing, and electrical safety testing products Completing records of testing, delivery, and collection Maintaining available product stock and spare parts inventory Providing product demonstrations and basic training to staff Hours of work: 37.5 per week, working Monday to Friday 8.30am-5pm. You will work weekends every 4 weeks, with the Friday and the Monday off. You will also be required to participate in an on-call rota (once trained) to support the team and the customer. This is subject to an on-call payment and additional payment for hours worked. To join us as a Trainee Service Technician, ideally, you will need to have or be willing to develop the following: Mechanical or electrical background desirable, but not essential, as full training will be provided Full UK driving licence required (we use long wheelbase vans, but training and support to build confidence in manoeuvring these vehicles will be provided where required) Excellent customer service skills Basic knowledge of hygiene and safety rules Basic PC skills to include email and MS Office Will need to be DBS checked due to the nature of the role Please note, this role will involve manual handling - loading, lifting, and carrying Medstrom products into the van.
