The predicted salary is between 25000 - 30000 £ per year.

We are looking for a dedicated Trainee Service Technician to provide high-quality products and support to customers across Nottinghamshire, predominantly City Hospital.

Your Role

As a Trainee Service Technician, you will ensure effective and timely delivery, maintenance, and support of medical devices to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver clean, ready-to-use products to customer sites.
  • Collect products after use and return them to the service centre.
  • Disinfect, function-check, repair, and perform electrical safety tests on products (full training provided).
  • Complete records of testing, delivery, and collection within our computerised system.
  • Maintain available product stock and spare parts inventory.
  • Make product modifications when required.
  • Provide product demonstrations and basic training to staff.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work environment.

Hours of Work

37.5 hours per week; Tuesday to Saturday (Tues – Thurs alternating 8 am – 3.30 pm / 10.30 am – 6 pm; Friday & Saturday 8 am – 6 pm).

Experience Needed

  • Mechanical or electrical interest/experience desirable; full training provided.
  • Full, valid UK driving licence (long wheelbase van operation; training provided).
  • Knowledge of Medstrom and/or other medical device manufacturers’ products desirable but not essential.

Additional Qualities

  • Proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude; keen and enthusiastic.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and follow procedures to meet deadlines.
  • Basic PC skills (email, MS Office).
  • DBS-checked (or willingness to complete one).
  • Manual handling capability – loading, lifting, and carrying Medstrom products into the van.
