In 2022, Medstrom became an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT), unlike any other company in the industry. This allows each employee to have a vested interest in the company, where we can all contribute to and share in the company’s success.
We are looking for a dedicated Trainee Service Technician to work from our service centre near Glasgow to help provide our high-quality medical products to customers across Glasgow and Scotland.

- Be a part of an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) and the associated benefits of having a stake in the company
The Role
As a Trainee Service Technician, you’ll be tasked with ensuring the effective, timely and efficient delivery of products to customer sites, first-line fault service visits and repairs against specific service level agreements. You will also undertake planned preventative maintenance activities, field modifications, and provide support to customers for the products under contract with Medstrom. All activities are recorded via our job management system.
Main responsibilities of the role:

About You
To join us as a Trainee Service Technician, ideally, you will need to have or be willing to develop the following.
Qualifications and experience requirements:
- Mechanical or electrical background desirable, but not essential, as full training will be provided
- Experience of delivery driving and planning routes would be desirable
- Full UK driving licence required (we use long wheelbase vans, but training and support to build confidence will be provided where required)
Personal Requirements:
- A proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work under own initiative, and follow procedures to achieve deadlines
- Basic PC skills to include email and MS Office

In addition to the salary and related benefits, you will join a company that has grown extensively within the last five years and, through our unique ownership model, is continuing to grow whilst offering great career opportunities for those who are keen to progress.
