We are seeking an experienced and proactive Fleet Manager, based in the Head Office in Castle Donington, to oversee the day-to-day management, compliance, and performance of our vehicle fleet.

The Role

You will play a key role in ensuring our vehicles operate safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively while supporting operational requirements across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain a fleet of cars, vans, HGVs, or specialist vehicles
  • Update and regularly review relevant policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legislation, HMRC guidelines, HR policies, Payroll and Finance
  • Monitor vehicle servicing, MOTs, inspections, and maintenance schedules
  • Manage fleet costs, budgets, fuel usage, supplier contracts and accident damage
  • Analyse fleet performance data and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, lean initiatives and cost saving methods
  • Oversee vehicle acquisition, disposal, and replacement programmes
  • Investigate vehicle incidents, accidents and damage and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented
  • Work closely with drivers, operational teams, and external service providers
  • Ensure accurate fleet and asset records are maintained and regularly audited
  • Support colleagues with sustainability and environmental initiatives, including fleet electrification where applicable
  • Manage EV chargers and home charging installs
  • Source suppliers and obtain quotes for fit out of vans (ramps, hoists, etc.)
  • Manage the process and compliance of vehicle maintenance checks and handover of vehicles

Hours of Work: 37.5 per week, Monday - Friday (approx. 8.30am – 4.30pm) based at Castle Donington.

About You

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in fleet, transport, logistics, or vehicle management
  • Strong knowledge of fleet compliance, vehicle maintenance, and transport regulations
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Experience managing budgets and negotiating with suppliers
  • Ability to analyse data and produce management reports
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency with fleet management systems and Microsoft Office
  • Full UK driving licence, as some travel may be required
