Overview
The Chief Commercial Officer will be responsible for driving Medserv’s commercial growth across its core operations in Revenue Cycle management and Remote Practice management services. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the CCO will lead all client acquisition, retention, pricing and partnership functions - ensuring Medserv’s growth strategy is commercially robust, technically informed and aligned with the evolving needs of healthcare providers, hospitals and insurers. This role requires a commercially minded, strategic operator with experience in both start-up and mature environments, capable of scaling systems, relationships and teams in a fast-moving healthcare services business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial Growth and Strategy
- Develop and execute a multi-year commercial strategy to expand market share and maximise profitability within the medical billing and RCM sector.
- Identify new commercial opportunities with healthcare providers, private practices, hospitals, and insurers, ensuring the organisation’s services are positioned as a trusted, high-performing solution.
- Translate financial and operational data into actionable business growth plans, pricing models, and performance targets.
- Client and Partnership Development
- Build and maintain deep relationships with healthcare decision-makers, technology partners, and insurers to drive sustainable revenue pipelines.
- Lead commercial negotiations for service agreements, pricing structures, and performance guarantees, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Champion a client-first culture across the business, ensuring consistent delivery excellence and high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- Revenue Cycle and Operations Integration
- Partner closely with the Operations, Finance and Technology teams to align commercial objectives with operational performance and system capability.
- Understand and influence the full revenue cycle - from claims submission to reimbursement - to identify efficiencies, automate processes, and enhance profitability.
- Leverage data analytics to monitor billing performance, client revenue trends and contractual risk, adjusting commercial strategies accordingly.
- Leadership and Organisational Development
- Lead and mentor a high-performing commercial team, fostering collaboration, accountability and measurable results.
- Set clear KPIs for business development, client engagement and margin optimisation, ensuring regular reporting and performance tracking.
- Serve as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, contributing to broader corporate strategy, governance and growth planning.
- Marketing and Digital Insight
- Oversee Medserv’s marketing strategy to strengthen brand visibility, drive lead generation and position the company as a trusted leader in medical billing and practice management solutions.
- Ensure all marketing initiatives- including digital campaigns, thought leadership and client communications - are fully aligned with commercial objectives, sales targets and market expansion plans.
- Represent the organisation at key industry events, client forums, and partnership meetings.
Qualifications and Experience
- 12+ years’ senior commercial experience within healthcare administration, RCM or related healthcare technology services.
- Proven record of developing and executing commercial growth strategies that deliver measurable revenue and margin improvement.
- Strong contract negotiation and client relationship management skills, with experience managing multi-site or international client requirements.
- Experience working in both start-up and established business environments with the ability to balance innovation with process discipline.
- Technically astute with the ability to work with data analytics platforms, CRM systems and performance dashboards.
- Strong leadership capability - ability to inspire cross-functional teams, drive accountability and build a performance-led culture.
- Extensive professional network within the healthcare, medical billing and insurance ecosystem.
- Flexible to travel as required.
