MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a contracted assignment in Portsmouth, Virginia. The position starts on 03/23/2026 and will last for 13 weeks (40 hours per week, 8‑hour days) with a travel employment type.
Requirements
- Completion of a two‑year approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- Valid state radiology registration as required by state law.
- Minimum of eighteen months of MRI technician experience preferred, ideally in a critical‑care setting.
- Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors around the powerful magnetic field of an MRI scanner.
- Position patients and coils on the moving table inside the scanner.
- Inject contrast media as required.
- Set appropriate technical parameters, operate MRI scanners, and monitor image data on computer displays during scans.
- Identify differences between normal and abnormal images.
- Recognize and respond to life‑threatening situations.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local technical and professional regulations and accepted practice guidelines.
- Deliver quality, cost‑effective patient care in a professional manner.
- Create a patient‑focused, timely, compassionate, and high‑quality care environment.
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment for staff and patients, incorporating national patient‑safety initiatives.
