We are seeking an office-based Business Development Executive to join our Business Development team in Europe. This position is responsible for communicating both the scientific and operational benefits of Medpace services to prospective clients.
Responsibilities
- Generate new sales opportunities through targeted prospecting;
- Develop and manage assigned customer relationships;
- Follow up on potential leads;
- Achieve sales targets for assigned customers in a given territory;
- Interact with internal teams regarding development and procurement of proposals;
- Establish and maintain frequent contact with customers through focused client visits and presentations;
- Interface and coordinate sales activities with internal resources (e.g. Bid Defense Meetings);
- Support marketing initiatives, when necessary (i.e., tradeshow, symposia attendance);
- Maintain contacts and appropriate sales activity data within Medpace-sponsored Customer Relationship Management database (i.e., SalesForce.com);
- Strategic and tactical territory planning, management, and execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years of experience in business development (ideally within clinical research).
- Ability to recognize needs of customer through targeted discovery and collaborate internally across functions to develop proposals/presentations that exceed customer expectations;
- Must be reliable, highly motivated, well organized, results oriented, customer focused, and have excellent interpersonal and presentation skills;
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
