Registered Veterinary Nurse – Full-Time – Upminster, Essex

The Role:
You’ll be working full time on a rota of 4 x 9-hour days with 1-in-4 full weekends. Both shifts include a paid 1-hour break, and there are no night shifts or on-call duties, thanks to a dedicated 24-hour team already in place.
About the Hospital:
This is a large, busy RCVS-accredited veterinary hospital offering a wide and varied caseload across both first-opinion and referral work. Facilities include:
- Digital radiography, ultrasonography and endoscopy
- Separate dog and cat wards, including ISFM-accredited cat-friendly kennels
- Dedicated isolation facilities
- Modern theatre equipped with advanced multi-parameter monitoring
- A paperless clinical record system using Smartflow
The practice has achieved multiple RCVS awards for outstanding patient and client care, as well as recognition for sustainability initiatives, including national environmental awards for 2023, 2024 and 2025.
Training & Development:
The hospital is a fully accredited Training Practice, offering structured support for student nurses and opportunities for Registered Veterinary Nurses to become Clinical Supervisors. Tutorials and standardisation are funded, and the team is committed to helping nurses develop new skills and confidence.
Wellness Centre:
- In addition to the main hospital, the group operates a modern Wellness Centre in Brentwood, providing:
