We are currently seeking a clinically experienced Locum GP Pharmacist to support a friendly and forward-thinking GP surgery team in South London. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Independent Prescriber (IP) or Band 8a pharmacist with primary care experience who is passionate about improving patient outcomes and reducing GP workload.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Structured Medication Reviews (SMRs)
- Manage repeat prescriptions and medicines reconciliation
- Deliver patient consultations (face-to-face/telephone/video)
- Support chronic disease clinics (e.g. hypertension, diabetes, asthma)
- Act as a point of contact for medicines optimisation and audit
- Collaborate with GPs, nurses, and wider PCN team
Requirements
- GPhC-registered Pharmacist
- Independent Prescriber (IP) qualification – essential
- Experience in a primary care/GP surgery setting
- Strong clinical judgement and confidence with patient-facing work
- Familiarity with EMIS Web or SystmOne desirable
