We are currently seeking a clinically experienced Locum GP Pharmacist to support a friendly and forward-thinking GP surgery team in South London. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Independent Prescriber (IP) or Band 8a pharmacist with primary care experience who is passionate about improving patient outcomes and reducing GP workload.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Structured Medication Reviews (SMRs)
  • Manage repeat prescriptions and medicines reconciliation
  • Deliver patient consultations (face-to-face/telephone/video)
  • Support chronic disease clinics (e.g. hypertension, diabetes, asthma)
  • Act as a point of contact for medicines optimisation and audit
  • Collaborate with GPs, nurses, and wider PCN team

Requirements

  • GPhC-registered Pharmacist
  • Independent Prescriber (IP) qualification – essential
  • Experience in a primary care/GP surgery setting
  • Strong clinical judgement and confidence with patient-facing work
  • Familiarity with EMIS Web or SystmOne desirable
