An established independent veterinary hospital in North West England is seeking an experienced Night Veterinary Surgeon to join its dedicated out-of-hours team. You’ll manage a varied emergency and critical care caseload while overseeing hospitalised patients from both first-opinion and referral services. You’ll work alongside an experienced Night RVN, with support available from the wider referral team when required. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident ECC vet who wants advanced facilities, clinical autonomy and the support of an independently owned hospital.

THE ROLE

  • Managing emergency and critical care cases
  • Providing overnight care for hospitalised patients
  • Triaging, assessing and admitting emergency presentations
  • Supporting ongoing referral cases overnight
  • Communicating clearly with clients and the daytime clinical teams
  • Maintaining accurate and thorough clinical records
  • Working closely with an experienced Night RVN

The successful candidate should be confident managing cases such as GDV, haemoabdomen, pleural effusion and DKA independently.
