Medlock Partners are delighted to be partnering with a successful, large global business based in the Cheshire area as they look to appoint a technically competent, audit trained finance professional in a Group Finance Manager/Controller remit. Reporting to the Group Finance Director and managing a small financial reporting team, the Group Financial Controller will be responsible for the following:

  • Monthly Financial Reporting including result analysis and observations/recommendations to the Board/Group Management for actions to be taken.
  • Monthly Capex reporting for the group.
  • Review/preparation of Consolidated Group financial statements (FRS102).
  • Review/preparation of several subsidiary accounts.
  • Production of technical accounting papers to support significant/unusual transactions, issues, etc – for both internal and external use.
  • Ownership of group accounting manual and internal group accounting policies.
  • Process owner and first point of contact for all matters regarding the Group Investment Proposal Model which is used/to be used for larger investments.
  • Provide support where necessary to the business units in preparing investment proposals.
  • Post Mortem analysis of executed investment projects.
  • Dealing with external lenders including regular performance updates/presentations.
  • Regular review of cash forecast produced by Treasury.
  • Preparation of all group models to support various financing initiatives.
  • Preparation of Board papers including regular Group Finance Updates and other ad hoc papers as required.
