Medlock Partners are delighted to be partnering with a successful, large global business based in the Cheshire area as they look to appoint a technically competent, audit trained Financial Reporting Manager. Reporting to the UK Financial Controller, the Finance Reporting Manager will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely and insightful financial reporting across the business, external reporting, including banking and audit.

Key Responsibilities

  • You’ll lead the month-end close process, producing high-quality management accounts with clear insight into performance and key drivers.
  • You’ll support forecasting, ensuring outputs are robust, aligned and forward-looking.
  • You’ll own balance sheet integrity, leading monthly reviews, resolving issues and providing visibility on key working capital drivers.
  • You’ll also take responsibility for bank reporting and play a key role in audit and statutory reporting.
  • Alongside this, you’ll oversee central cost reporting, support Group and Board reporting, and work closely with Finance Business Partners and FP&A to ensure consistency across all outputs.
  • A key focus will be driving improvements in reporting quality, control and efficiency, including greater use of automation and standardisation.

Key Requirements

  • A newly/recently qualified ACA/ACCA accountant in a Top practice with a strong academic background.
  • Self-motivated and driven to continually improve processes and seek new challenges.
  • Curious, enthusiastic and with a great ambition to get involved.
  • Flexible with the ability to adapt to different situations.
