A respected UK national law firm with a strong Restructuring and Corporate Recovery practice is seeking a senior-level lawyer to join its Manchester Restructuring team. The team is part of a market-leading national platform advising clients across the full spectrum of financial and operational restructuring, distressed M&A, stakeholder negotiations and insolvency-related matters.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead on high-impact restructuring and corporate recovery matters for financial institutions, insolvency practitioners, turnaround advisors and corporate clients.
- Advise on financial and organisational restructuring work including solvent and insolvent business sales & exits, distressed M&A, antecedent transactions and asset recovery.
- Project manage complex assignments, driving strategic outcomes and pragmatic solutions for clients.
- Provide expert guidance on stakeholder engagement, creditor negotiations, enforcement options and director duties.
- Collaborate with specialists across the corporate platform and contribute to business development initiatives.
Candidate Profile:
- Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with 5+ years’ PQE in restructuring, insolvency, corporate recovery or related advisory work.
- Strong technical ability in restructuring and creditor/stakeholder negotiations.
- Proven experience managing complex matters and engaging directly with clients.
- Effective communicator with the ability to mentor junior colleagues and contribute to practice growth.
- Commercially minded with excellent judgment and project leadership skills.
