Are you an organised, people-focused HR professional with experience in payroll administration? Medlock Partners are delighted to be working with a leading organisation to recruit a HR & Payroll Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy, operational environment and is confident managing payroll administration alongside a broad range of HR responsibilities.
Working closely with the HR team and Payroll Manager, this team are brilliant and you will love working alongside them and playing a key role in ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time, while also providing a first-class HR administration service across the business.
As the HR & Payroll Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for HR and payroll-related queries, building strong relationships with employees and managers across the organisation.
- Providing first-line HR support to employees and managers.
- Assisting with recruitment administration and updating relevant systems.
- Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems.
- Working closely with the Payroll Manager and wider HR team to ensure payroll and people processes are aligned.
- Supporting the communication of HR processes and policies in a clear, consistent and practical way.
- Acting as the first point of contact for payroll queries.
- Inputting payroll data accurately and ensuring all information is complete and submitted within strict deadlines.
- Supporting payroll cut-off activities, peak periods and key payment arrangements, including overtime and Christmas working payments.
- Building strong relationships with managers to improve data quality, communication and payroll processes.
- Acting as an important link between Operations, Payroll and HR.
You will have excellent attention to detail and be comfortable working to tight deadlines, particularly when dealing with payroll information.
Previous experience within payroll administration, HR administration or a similar role is required. Experience working with payroll and/or HR systems is also necessary. Experience of Sage and/or Workday would be beneficial, although not essential.
