Working: Hybrid and flexible working – 2 days in the office, 3 days work from home

Salary: up to £32,000 plus a highly competitive benefits package including 39 days annual leave (including statutory holidays) and access to a Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) - 17.2% Employer & 6.8% employee monthly pension contributions.
Medlock Partners are assisting one of their not-for-profit clients as they look to appoint a number of proactive and detail-oriented HR Assistants to join their busy and newly transformed HR team. Reporting into a HR Operations Manager, these roles will focus on delivering a high-quality HR operations service, supporting the employee lifecycle, and ensuring accuracy and consistency across HR systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities for the HR Assistant:- Act as a first point of contact for HR queries via the HR helpline.
- Support the onboarding process, including pre-employment checks and documentation.
- Prepare and issue contracts, variations and HR correspondence.
- Support payroll processes, including preparing and submitting monthly data.
- Administer employee lifecycle activities, including maternity and paternity processes.
- Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with data protection standards.
- Support HR systems (HRIS), including reporting and data analysis.
- Assist with process improvements and HR system enhancements.
- Identify and escalate risks or anomalies, including payroll and employee relations matters.
- Proven experience in an HR administration or HR operations role.
- Experience managing high-volume transactional HR activity with strong attention to detail.
- Confident using HR systems and handling HR data.
- Ability to interpret policies, procedures and terms and conditions.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to handle confidential information.
- CIPD Level 3 or 5 qualified or working towards (desirable).
- Immediately available to commence a new role or available at short notice.
