Learning & Development Advisor (6-month Fixed Term Contract) with the potential to be extended
Winsford
Part time (3 full days) – On-Site Working
Salary £35,253 per annum pro rata
I’ve partnered with a large public sector organisation based in Cheshire as they look to appoint an experienced Learning & Development Advisor for an initial 6 month period.
Reporting into a Learning & Development Partner and working closely with an Organisational Development Manager, you will support them to deliver organisational development initiatives, with a focus on leadership, management, coaching and team development.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain further learning & Development exposure for a large and varied workforce.
Key responsibilities of the Learning & Development Advisor:
- Work closely with the People and Organisational Development team, senior leaders and departmental managers to identify learning needs and implement practical solutions.
- Deliver leadership programmes as part of the corporate training calendar.
- Perform coaching and mentoring to support professional growth across the organisation.
- Support in designing and improving a wide range of training material.
- Help design and deliver a wide range of training initiative, including personal effectiveness, talent management, workforce planning, conflict management, psychometrics and project management.
- Liaise with external training suppliers.
- Help promote a positive and inclusive culture that encourages continuous development, collaborations and high performance.
Key requirements for the Learning & Development Advisor:
- It is essential that you are an experienced HR professional and have similar experience developing and delivering high-quality leadership training programmes, ensuring a blended learning approach that includes face to face training, virtual learning, coaching and action learning.
- Evidence the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels with strong advisory skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to measure and evaluate delivery against agreed requirements.
- Show knowledge of adult learning principles and modern learning methods.
- Be able to work to deadlines, multitask and reprioritise work as necessary.
- Ideally you will have a mixture of both public sector/not-for-profit with commercial experience. However, this is not essential.
- Ideally you will be degree or CIPD qualified or part qualified, however relevant experience is key for the successful candidate.
- You will have the ability to work autonomously as well as working and contributing to a wider HR team.
