A highly regarded law firm in the South East, known for its City-quality work outside London, is seeking an ambitious Corporate Associate (2–6 PQE) to join its award-winning team. Recognised as a leader in the region for M&A, private equity and corporate advisory work, the team acts for a broad client base of dynamic, high-growth companies, international corporates and private equity investors.
The Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity for a technically strong and commercially astute corporate lawyer to work across a wide range of matters, including:
- Private M&A (buy and sell-side)
- Management advisory and portfolio work for private equity houses
- Shareholder agreements and equity fundraising for high-growth companies
- Corporate restructurings and rationalisations
- Cross-border and inward investment transactions
- General corporate advisory matters
You’ll be joining a large, collegiate team led by eight partners and supported by specialist PSLs and cross-department expertise (tax, IP, real estate, finance, etc.). The team regularly advises on high-value, high-profile transactions, with deals totalling over £3bn in the past year.
Candidate Profile
- 2–6 years PQE with experience in M&A, private equity, or general corporate advisory work
- Background in a top regional, national, or City firm
- Strong technical drafting skills and commercial acumen
- Enthusiastic team player with a proactive approach
- Appetite for responsibility and client exposure
- Interest in business development and sector specialisation encouraged
