HR Business Partner
Salary up to £55k + 10% Bonus + Excellent Benefits
Location: Sheffield (4 days on-site, 1 day working from home)
12 month Fixed Term Contract (highly likely to extend or go permanent)
An exciting opportunity has arisen with a well-established manufacturing business as they transform their Sheffield site into their new European Headquarters.
This is a key role supporting cultural and business change during a time of investment and growth.
Our client seeks a hands-on, HR Business Partner with a background in manufacturing (including FMCG or food production) to join on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The successful person will play a vital role supporting a diverse, site-based workforce, driving engagement, managing ER issues, and partnering with local leadership to align HR with business goals.
Key responsibilities of the HR Business Partner:
- Act as a strategic partner to site leadership, embedding culture and values across the business.
- Lead on workforce planning, absence management, employee engagement, performance management, and union/works council interactions.
- Provide expert ER support, coaching and guiding managers on disciplinary, grievance, and performance matters.
- Analyse HR data to inform decision-making and improve processes.
- Support payroll, recruitment, and compliance activity.
- Participate in regular shop floor engagement to build trust and drive improvement.
Key requirements of the HR Business Partner:
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (minimum).
- Experience at HR Business Partner level or equivalent is essential.
- Strong generalist HR background, ideally within manufacturing, production, or a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience in employee relations, change management, and supporting transformation initiatives.
- Comfortable working in a visible, site-based role and partnering closely with senior stakeholders.
- Union/Works Council experience is a strong advantage.
- Confident using HR systems and data (experience with SAP/Kronos is a bonus).
Package & Benefits:
