Are you a talented HR Business Partner looking for an opportunity to put your stamp on a newly created HR Business Partner role within a fast-paced business? Our client is looking for a driven and confident HR Business Partner to join their team, preferably with a background in Retail or similar due to the pace and challenges of the industry. This is a key on-site Generalist role, ensuring people processes, performance culture, and workforce strategies are delivered with impact and precision.
Key Responsibilities of the HR Business Partner:
- Reporting into the Head of HR, you’ll be responsible for providing full-spectrum HR support within your division.
- You’ll lead on strategic projects, employee relations, performance management, and data-led decision making.
- Manage succession planning, pay reviews, promotions, and role banding processes.
- Own performance ratings and bonus process coordination across the unit.
- Act as escalation point for complex ER cases including sickness, flexible working, performance, grievance and disciplinary matters.
- Coach and support managers to build confidence in people management.
- Drive performance culture and accountability in partnership with leadership.
- Coordinate post-review actions and ongoing performance development plans.
- Deliver training on HR processes and coach managers on effective people leadership.
- Support induction and employee development initiatives.
- Champion diversity, inclusion and employee engagement across site.
- Align with fellow People Business Partners to ensure consistent delivery and shared best practice.
- Use data to spot trends, influence decisions and track progress.
Key requirements for the HR Business Partner:
- Previous HR experience is essential, preferably as a HR Business Partner or Junior HR Business Partner looking for more responsibility and a new challenge.
- Proven HR experience ideally in a Retail or similar fast paced, often ambiguous environment.
