Hourly Salary Range: Up to $22/hour

Job Overview
The Certified Medical Assistant performs clinical support procedures under the supervision of the Office Nurse or Physician. Responsibilities may extend beyond listed duties, and employees are expected to follow additional instructions from supervisors. Personal qualities such as professionalism, cleanliness, neatness, calmness under stress, caring nature, and genuine enjoyment of patient interactions are essential. Emotional stability and confidentiality are also required due to the nature of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform blood draws, injections, child immunizations, lab tests, and other procedures within the scope of MA certification.
- Assist physicians during examinations, including taking vital signs.
- Maintain cleanliness and stock supplies in exam rooms.
- Handle patient phone calls as directed by physicians.
- Provide patient instructions as instructed by physicians.
- Requisition supplies to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Assist with medical record maintenance, including referral forms and lab slips.
- Support patients in navigating exam rooms and during procedures.
- Assist with nursing procedures as directed.
- Support team members and remain flexible to various duties as requested by management.

Minimum Requirements
- At least 2 years of formal Medical Assistant training or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting.
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant.
- BLS (AHA) certification.
