Mediworld is a leading UK distributor of medical equipment based in London.
We work exclusively with manufacturers to supply our own branded surgical instruments, glucose monitors, and sutures, alongside a diverse range of medical equipment sourced through our large supplier network.
Our business has two distinct arms.
The first supplies private hospitals, NHS trusts, and medical organisations across the UK.
The second works with some of the largest charities in the UK on their international aid missions.
We are looking for an Internal Sales Executive to join our team.
You will be the first point of contact for trade and B2B enquiries, manage a portfolio of existing accounts, and play a key role in developing our NHS framework business.
This is a warm sales role.
Working with inbound enquiries, existing customers, and a pipeline of qualified leads generated through our digital channel.
The right person is organised, commercially minded, and takes pride in building relationships with customers over time.
- What you will be doing
- Sales inbox & inbound enquiries
- Own the sales inbox for all business and trade enquiries - the primary commercial contact for anyone reaching out to Mediworld.
- Respond promptly, qualify the opportunity, and move it forward - whether that is preparing a quote, processing an order, or involving a senior colleague where needed.
- Account management
- Manage a portfolio of existing B2B accounts - maintain relationships, process repeat orders, and look for opportunities to grow.
- Regular check-ins to understand customer needs and ensure Mediworld remains their preferred supplier.
- Coordinate with our Supply Chain Coordinator on stock availability, lead times, and fulfilment.
- NHS framework orders
- Take ownership of our two NHS procurement framework accounts
- Manage NHS orders end to end: confirming orders, applying correct framework pricing, coordinating fulfilment, and handling any queries.
- Build familiarity with NHS procurement processes and develop relationships with trust contacts over time.
- Spot opportunities to grow NHS account activity and bring these to the team.
- B2B prospect pipeline
- Receive a monthly pipeline of qualified B2B prospects
- Make initial contact, assess conversion potential, and move suitable prospects onto trade accounts.
- Feed back on conversions to help sharpen the pipeline over time.
- Quotes, orders & admin
- Prepare accurate quotes for inbound enquiries and existing accounts.
- Raise invoices and coordinate with the finance function where needed.
- Keep customer records and the B2B tracker up to date.
- Report on account activity, NHS performance, and pipeline to the CEO monthly.
- What we are looking for
- Experience in an internal sales, account management, or sales support role - 1 to 3 years minimum.
- Confident and professional communicator by phone and email.
- Highly organised - comfortable managing multiple accounts and enquiries at the same time.
- Commercially aware - you understand how to retain a customer and spot an opportunity to grow an account.
- Comfortable with order management systems and standard office tools.
- Experience in healthcare, medical supplies, or NHS procurement is a bonus but not essential
- Proactive and reliable
- Why Mediworld
- A central role in a growing business
• Real variety - NHS trusts, private clinics, charities & more!
- A clear growth path - as the business develops its sales function, so does this role.
