Mediworld empowers and improves the quality of the lives of our customers by supplying them with the highest standard of medical equipment. We were founded in 1973 and have supported a number of organisations globally, including hospitals, medical professionals and practices, care homes, UN organisations, charities, and members of the community. Our core offering includes our branded surgical instruments, our diverse range of homecare equipment, our extensive PPE supplies, and an entire range of medical equipment and devices. We are now going into our 6th decade and are embarking on an expansion programme that will include strengthening our sales function.
We are looking to recruit an accomplished originator/hunter to join our Business Development team, with a passion for the healthcare industry. We are primarily a B2B business, so relationships with our trade customers are very important to the business. This role will require an individual with tenacity, drive, and creative thinking that will enable them to get in front of individuals on the procurement teams of organisations, including hospitals, the NHS, dental practices, and care homes.
Whilst there will already be a database of clients that you will be able to approach and upsell into, we are looking for someone who is also a self-starter and has the experience of developing a new marketplace. The ability to close and win deals will be critical for this role. The directors of the business are already competent at opening doors and nurturing long-standing relationships.
We are a small team (less than 20 employees) and a family business of over 50 years standing. So the culture and support network is caring and considerate, whilst innovative and driven. Ideally, you will have at least 3β5 years of sales experience with a track record of demonstrable success. Some experience in selling healthcare products will be an advantage but not a necessity.
Our package will reflect your experience, with a base salary in the region of Β£30,000 - Β£40,000 pa to begin with, together with a generous commission package that can take OTE to over Β£50,000 pa.
Location: This role is hybrid and is a blend of working from home and from our Head Quarters which is presently based on Streatham High Road.
Holidays: 28 days, excluding bank holidays, plus Christmas Eve and New Yearβs Eve off.
Applicants should submit a resume outlining your experience to hamid.khan@mediworld.co.uk.
