Our clinic in Bamber Bridge is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team. Nestled in the high street of Bamber Bridge, the practice is an award-winning clinic with a great team! Medivet Bamber Bridge (commonly known as Withy Grove Vets) is a state-of-the-art veterinary practice equipped with modern amenities. We have eight vets on board and boast digital X-ray facilities, in-house blood machines, dedicated dog and cat wards and theatres, a dental suite, and a rabbit-friendly environment. We offer laparoscopic surgery as well as orthopaedics, so there are lots of opportunities to get involved with advanced surgery.

As a crucial member of our professional and personable team, you will go beyond standard consulting. Your role involves active listening, empathising, and prioritising patients and clients. You will bring substantial experience from small animal practice, demonstrating competence in clinical examination and surgery. Whether working independently or collaboratively within the team, your values align with ours — trustworthiness, care, and progress. Your softer skills, such as effective communication and a desire to share knowledge, make you an outstanding example for others. The ideal candidate will have a client-orientated approach and excellent communication skills are a must.

Role Accountabilities:

In This Role You Will:

  • Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
  • Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
  • Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule activities.
  • Deliver patient monitoring and care.
  • Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
  • Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
  • Dispense and check medication.
  • Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
  • Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.

Your Skills And Experience:

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
  • Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
  • Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
  • Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
  • Required to carry out tasks outside your normal duties, where you have the skills, knowledge and experience required.
