Our Medivet Scunthorpe practice is looking for a Surgical bias Vet. This opportunity provides a very supportive environment, that can offer a varied and busy caseload. Scunthorpe is a central large practice with 4 consult rooms and 1 surgical theatre, digital x-ray room, large prep area, digital x-ray, ultrasound, laparoscopic equipment, and in-house blood machines. It is supported by a Practice Manager, Lead Vet, HRVN, and a strong and established Nursing team. The ideal candidate would relish the opportunity to take the lead with surgical cases and feel comfortable with non-routine surgeries. This role offers a significant opportunity to join a well-established branch. It is a permanent, full-time role working 39 hours per week over four days, with 1:3 half or 1:6 Saturdays (worked at the Ashby centre), with no OOH. Promote clinical best practices within and across practices and the wider Medivet community. Your Skills and Experience: RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon. Experience in delivering exceptional care to patients and clients. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Demonstrated clinical leadership skills. Experience in supporting nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures, understanding their impact on clinic performance. Strong coaching and influencing skills to motivate colleagues.
