Medivet Lawley is looking for a Part Time RVN to join their wonderful team on a permanent basis. Medivet Lawley is a kind and caring team who are able to offer a full range of veterinary services and facilities, including nurse clinics and dental procedures, ECG, in-house laboratory, Orthopaedic Theatre, Ultrasound and X-ray. The practice is supported by our Operational Support Manager, Lead Vet and Head RVN along with an experienced Veterinary and Nursing team.
We are offering 22 hours per week (2x10 hour days) with 1 in 6 weekends at Medivet Shrewsbury 24-Hour Hospital, you will also cover one Bank holiday and one week of on call per year.

In this role you will:
- Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
- Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
- Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
- Deliver patient monitoring and care.
- Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
- Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
- Dispense and check medication.
- Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
- Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.
- RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
- Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
- Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
- Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
- Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
