Medivet Dearne Valley 24-Hour is seeking an experienced Medical/Imaging-biased Veterinary Surgeon to join our busy ECC hospital team. The successful applicant will have an interest in and experience with ECC, with a bias towards internal medicine, cardiology, diagnostic imaging or neurology.

Our purpose-built 24-hour hospital offers a modern, clinically-driven environment with excellent diagnostic and surgical facilities, including:

  • Digital radiography
  • High-spec ultrasound
  • Full-body CT imaging
  • Comprehensive in-house laboratory

This strong diagnostic and imaging capability supports rapid assessment and well-informed clinical decision-making. The hospital also features:

  • Three spacious consulting rooms
  • Two fully equipped theatres
  • Large preparation and treatment area
  • Dedicated laboratory facilities
  • Extensive clinical and office space designed for collaboration, efficiency, and ongoing learning

The team is supported by Branch Partner Magda and Practice Manager Michelle, creating a structured and supportive environment with a strong emphasis on clinical standards, case continuity, and consistent patient care.

Working hours and relocation

We offer a full-time rota of 40 hours over 4 days per week, with a 1 in 6 full weekend commitment, though part-time hours can be considered for the right candidate. A relocation package is available for candidates moving from outside the UK or from more than 60 miles away within the UK. Visa sponsorship is also available.
