As a Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) you will support the whole team. This rewarding diverse role includes assisting the clinical team of nurses and vets with pre and post operative care of patients, theatre practice, hygiene and infection control. This position also includes being there for our clients and carrying out reception duties alongside medication dispensing and stock control; delivering an exceptional client journey and promoting the services our practice can offer for excellent client and patient care.

About you
You’re skilled at providing exceptional client care and are passionate about caring for pets. You’re a team player who wants to make a real difference in a practice that values and supports you. We welcome applications from candidates able to prioritise, remain calm under pressure and who are flexible and willing to learn.
This role is not suitable for young workers in line with Health and Safety Executive (government) direction due to the expected duties of the role. Therefore, you will be asked to confirm that you are over the age of 18 as part of the application process.

Typically, in this role, you’ll:
- Deliver exceptional care to clients, supporting surgeries and procedures, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards
- Deliver patient monitoring and care to pets, including walking, toileting and feeding
- Work collaboratively within a supportive team
