Overview
Medivet Swanland is situated in a rural, affluent part of East Yorkshire within beautiful countryside, with easy access to the North York Moors national park, East Yorkshire coastline & the cities of Kingston-Upon-Hull, Beverley, Lincoln, Leeds & York. The Swanland 24-Hour team consists of a passionate clinical director, head nurses, a team of vets and RVNs, student nurses, patient care assistants, client care assistants and administrative staff. We also have a fully functioning and dedicated night team staffed by experienced vets & RVNs to cover out of hours. We have 24-hour hospitalisation, separate dog, cat, exotic & isolation wards, three operating theatres with updated surgical facilities & equipment, an in-house lab, excellent diagnostic imaging facilities, including ultrasound, doppler, digital x ray, range of digital endoscopes, rhinoscopy, arthroscopy and a CT suite along with diagnostic ECG, hydrotherapy, under water treadmill and laser therapy.
This rota will comprise of working 7pm-9am and on 7 on / 14 off basis.

- Deliver exceptional clinical care to your patients during consultations and procedures.
- Provide exceptional care to your clients, giving clear updates on patients.
- Deliver professional excellence, observing the highest standards of regulatory, practice and operational compliance.
- Prepare tailored, accurate treatment and care plans for each patient with clear cost estimates.
- Engage, mentor and develop your team, enhancing their skills and utilising these in the most effective way.
- Pro-actively support and share clinical best practice within and across practices and the wider Medivet community.
Your Skills and Experience
- RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
- Experienced in delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients.
- Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
- Able to demonstrate clinical leadership skills.
- Experience of implementing a progressive clinical culture.
- Experience of supporting nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures, with an understanding of how this contributes to clinic performance and efficiency.
- Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
