Overview
Seven nights of clinical impact, followed by twenty-one nights that are entirely yours – how would you spend them? Join us at Medivet Thurmaston 24-Hour Hospital, our fully equipped site that opened in April 2024. You’ll be working with the very best: a sparkling new ultrasound machine, orthopaedic kit, digital and dental X-ray suites, endoscopy, a tonometer, and all the tools you’d expect in a modern ECC hospital.
We’re looking for a Night Veterinary Surgeon to work a 7-on / 21-off rota – a brilliant pattern for someone seeking predictable part-time hours, ample time between blocks, or a job that supports travel and adventure. Spend three weeks exploring new countries, taking extended trips, or focusing on personal goals… all while maintaining a stable, rewarding ECC career.
This is a sole-charge night role, giving you exposure to a wide range of emergency and critical care cases. You’ll need strong all-round surgical and medical skills, and in return you’ll gain autonomy, clinical satisfaction, and the chance to make a meaningful impact when it matters most.
Prorated salary will be based on 24.5 hours on average per week – i.e. up to £45,937.50 per year (£75,000 FTE).
