At Medivet Ashton 24 Hour, we’re offering an exciting opportunity for a confident Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a progressive team and make a real impact on patient care. This is a full-time position – either 4 long days or 5 shorter (8‑hour) shifts, with a mix of early and late finishes. You’ll take part in a 1 in 6 weekend rota and a fair share of bank holidays, supported by a dedicated night team. You’ll primarily be based at our Ashton 24 Hour practice, with occasional cover at our nearby Uppermill branch.
We’re looking for a confident RVN who is comfortable across a varied caseload. This role offers a great balance of autonomy and teamwork, ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership while having strong clinical support. Our purpose‑built hospital is fully equipped with multiple consult rooms, two theatres, separate wards, in‑house lab, digital and dental x‑ray, ultrasound, and advanced surgical equipment – giving you everything you need to deliver high standards of care. About you: You're a RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care. You're a team player who wants to make a real difference in a practice that values and supports you.
What you’ll be doing:
- Deliver exceptional care to patients, carrying out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities, supporting consults, surgeries and procedures, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards
- Deliver patient monitoring and care, and manage admissions and discharges
- Deliver exceptional care to your clients
- Work collaboratively within a supportive team
