Medivet Yeading is seeking a Head RVN to lead our nursing team. This practice is in the enviable position of being very recently refurbished to a lovely high standard. We boast two consult rooms, plus a separate nurse consult, a huge prep room, a spacious waiting area, a designated imaging room, refurbished theatre with new ultrasound, dental and radiography machines and staff room; it really is a lovely space to work in!

Role details

This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week. As well as a generous salary on offer for this vacancy we are also offering a £1000 signing bonus to our new HRVN at Yeading.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership to the nursing team.
  • Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
  • Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
  • Lead, manage and promote nurse led appointments and Schedule 3 surgeries.
  • Deliver patient monitoring and care.
  • Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
  • Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
  • Dispense and check medication.
  • Deliver professional excellence, implementing and complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
  • Inspire your team, sharing new or evolving practice standards and changes to processes.
  • Engage, coach and develop your team.
  • Pro-actively support and share clinical best practice across practices and the wider Medivet community.

Your Skills and Experience

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
  • Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
  • Able to confidently lead a clinical team.
  • Experience of implementing a progressive clinical culture through nurse clinics and nurse consultations.
  • Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
