We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly team at Medivet Llanishen Cat Clinic in Cardiff on a part time basis. This is a cat-only practice set in a lovely building, supported by Branch Partner, Lois who has a PhD in Cardiology and a Feline Internal Medicine certificate, a Veterinary Surgeon, HRVN, RVN, and two Receptionists. You will enjoy working as part of a close-knit team with a loyal client base who truly value the care we provide for their pets.
Llanishen Cat Clinic is well-equipped to support high standards of care, with facilities including:
- Digital x-ray and Adaptix 3D x-ray for orthopaedics and dental imaging
- Ultrasound with pulsed wave and colour Doppler
- Multi-parameter anaesthetic monitoring
- Cryotherapy and radioactive iodine unit
- In-house IDEXX lab suite (Procyte Dx, Catalyst One, Sedivue)
- Oxygen unit, incubator and Burtons VETair2 Dental Unit
This role is working 30 hours per week plus 1 in 3 Saturdays and working in the RAI unit. The salary would be between £22,500 and £23,625 per year.

About you: You’re a RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care. You’re a team player who wants to make a real difference in a practice that values and supports you.
What you’ll be doing: Typically, in this role, you’ll:
- Deliver exceptional care to patients, carrying out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities, supporting consults, surgeries and procedures, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards
- Deliver patient monitoring and care, and manage admissions and discharges
- Deliver exceptional care to your clients
- Work collaboratively within a supportive team
