As a Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) you will support the nurse and vets with in-patient procedures and pet care delivering exceptional care to our clients, patients, and colleagues. This is a 40 hour a week role, working across Kingsbury and Kenton equally on weekdays. Weekends are one full weekend in three at Hendon 24 Hour Hospital. Other duties include being on call (expect three weeks a year) and working on bank holidays (expect three a year - both at Hendon 24). This role is not suitable for young workers in line with Health and Safety Executive direction due to the expected duties of the role. Therefore, you will be asked to confirm that you are over the age of 18 as part of the application process.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional care to clients, supporting surgeries and procedures, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
- Deliver patient monitoring and care to pets, including walking, toileting and feeding.
- Work collaboratively within a supportive team.
