We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Veterinary Care Assistant to join our friendly and experienced team, supporting our busy hospital services at Woodstock and North Oxford.
Medivet 24 Hour Woodstock is a modern, well‑equipped veterinary hospital and the central hub of the Oxford region.
We are committed to providing high‑quality, honest veterinary care to pets day and night.
Located on the edge of the beautiful Cotswolds, Woodstock offers excellent access to Oxford city centre.
Our recently refurbished hospital features advanced facilities including a CT scanner, digital radiography, and dedicated inpatient and emergency care areas.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to become a valued member of a supportive and collaborative team.
- What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver exceptional care to clients, supporting surgeries and procedures, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards
- Deliver patient monitoring and care to pets, including walking, toileting and feeding
- Work collaboratively within a supportive team
Key Responsibilities
- Support the nursing and veterinary teams in the day‑to‑day running of the hospital and practice.
- Assist with patient handling and caring for inpatients, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Prepare equipment and assist with procedures, emergency presentations and critical care cases.
Requirements

- Demonstrates compassion towards patients and excellent customer service towards clients.

- Working Hours
- Two 10‑hour shifts every weekend (Saturday and Sunday).
- Two additional shifts during the week, based at either Woodstock 24‑Hour Hospital or North Oxford Practice.
- Pro rota Bank Holidays.
