Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking for a role that offers variety, flexibility and genuine career development?
We're seeking a confident and adaptable Veterinary Surgeon to support our well-established Medivet practices across Stevenage, Stanstead Abbotts, Mansfield Cottage, Welwyn Garden City (Mill Green Road), Little Hadham, Potters Bar, Cheshunt, and Enfield 24-Hour Hospital for bank holiday and on‑call commitments.
This is an exciting opportunity for a vet with at least 3 years' UK small animal experience who enjoys working within different practice environments while building strong relationships with multiple teams.
Much of the work may involve sole charge, so we're looking for someone who is confident consulting independently and performing routine surgical procedures.

The Role
This position offers the security of a permanent role whilst providing the variety and professional stimulation of working across multiple practices.
- Working Pattern
- 4‑day working week (36 hours)
- Flexibility to support planned holiday cover across the region
- Variable day off each week depending on business needs
- Approximately 2 bank holidays per year
- Approximately 2 weeks of on‑call cover per year
- 1–2 extra rotational shifts (ERS) annually
About You
- MRCVS registered
- Confident consulting and performing routine surgery independently
- Comfortable working both within a team and in sole charge
- Adaptable and able to thrive in different practice settings
- Passionate about delivering exceptional patient and client care
- Keen to continue developing your clinical and professional skills
