The Opportunity
We are seeking a Veterinary Care Assistant at our Mansfield Cottage Clinic.
You will be an integral part of the practice team, working with Veterinary Surgeons, the Head Nurse, and student nurses to provide exceptional care to our patients.
Remuneration
National Living Wage (age 21+); National Minimum Wage (under 21+).
Work Schedule & Hours
This role is 40 hours a week, with a 1:3 weekend schedule (either Saturday or Sunday) at the Enfield 24‑Hour hospital.
You will also share bank holiday shifts (approximately 2‑3 per year) and on‑call duties (2‑3 weeks per year).

- In This Role You Will
- Consistently deliver exceptional care to clients.
- Support with operations and procedures.
- Deliver patient monitoring and care, including daily tasks such as walking, toileting and feeding.
- Ensure completion of all pre‑ and post‑operation activities.
- Complete patient transfers to out‑of‑hours or enhanced care.
- Dispense medication under the guidance of the Veterinary team.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
