Medivet Sheerness is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full Time Veterinary Care Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our busy and welcoming practice. This role offers an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive and experienced team. Located in Minster-on-Sea on the Isle of Sheppey, Kent, Medivet Sheerness is a well-established small animal practice with a strong reputation for providing high-quality veterinary care and exceptional client service.
The practice benefits from a collaborative team environment, comprising an experienced Veterinary Surgeon, a Head Nurse, and Veterinary Care Assistants who work closely together to deliver outstanding patient and client care. As a Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) you will support with in-patient procedures and pet care delivering exceptional care always there to our clients, patients, and colleagues. Weekend working may be required in the future to support local business needs.

About You
You’re skilled at providing exceptional client care and are passionate about caring for pets. You’re a team player who wants to make a real difference in a practice that values and supports you. We welcome applications from candidates able to prioritise, remain calm under pressure and who are flexible and willing to learn. This role is not suitable for young workers in line with Health and Safety Executive (government) direction due to the expected duties of the role. Therefore, you will be asked to confirm that you are over the age of 18 as part of the application process.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver exceptional care to clients, supporting surgeries and procedures, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards
- Deliver patient monitoring and care to pets, including walking, toileting and feeding
- Work collaboratively within a supportive team
