Overview
We\’re looking for a Full Time Qualified Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly, professional team in our small animal practice based in Carpenders Park (Watford).
Medivet Carpenders Park, also known on Facebook as \’The Clinic with the most Unicorns in the world\’, celebrates difference.
Our friendly and passionate team of wildlife lovers are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join them. If you have an adventurous soul and a kind heart, then this could be exactly the right place for you!
Watford 24-Hour Hospital is a short drive away, here you have access to a fully equipped theatre, CT, laparoscopy, endoscopy, orthopaedic and spinal surgery services, as well as 24 hour care for your patients managed by a dedicated night team.
Not familiar with the area? Carpenders Park is a suburb of Watford. The clinic is situated right next to Carpenders Park Overground with quick direct links into North West London for all the capital has to offer.
The rota is a 4 day week with weekends on a 1 in 6 basis at Watford 24 Hour.
We’re also pleased to offer a £1,000 sign-on bonus as part of this role.

Responsibilities
Exceptional care is at the heart of everything we do at Medivet. That’s the care for our patients, our clients and for each other – we really want to make a positive difference through every interaction we have.
In this role you will:
- Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
- Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
- Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
- Deliver patient monitoring and care.
- Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
- Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
- Dispense and check medication.
- Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
- Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.
Qualifications
- RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
- Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
- Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
- Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
- Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
