We are excited to be looking for a compassionate and dedicated first opinion Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and supportive team in Pontefract. Our well-equipped Pontefract clinic offers a welcoming working environment, featuring three spacious consulting rooms, a dedicated X-ray suite, a fully equipped theatre, and a separate dental room complete with dental radiography. We are proud to deliver high-quality patient care, while fostering a collaborative and positive team culture.

We work closely with and feed into our hospital site, Medivet Dearne Valley, which boasts excellent resources, advanced equipment, and the support of highly experienced and knowledgeable surgeons. This close collaboration allows us to offer seamless continuity of care and access to a wider clinical network, ensuring the very best outcomes for our patients.

What you’ll be doing: Typically, in this role, you’ll:

  • Deliver exceptional clinical care to patients in consults and surgery to the highest standards of regulatory, practice and operational compliance
  • Develop tailored treatment plans with clients
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive team
  • Share your skills and support our Medivet communities’ development
  • 1:6 Weekend Rotation at Medivet Dearne Valley
  • Bank Holiday Rotation at Medivet Dearne Valley
