We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Medivet East Oxford. This is a full time position working 40 hours per week with 1:6 full weekends or 1:3 Saturday or Sunday shifts. There will also be a fair share of on call and bank holidays.
You will be working alongside two full time vets and one part time vet, two RVN's and a CCA. East Oxford has its own laparoscopic equipment which is regularly used by our team. The practice is easily walkable to the Cowley Road which is the main shopping street of East Oxford.
As a Nurse you will be accountable for the clinical delivery of nurse led appointments and will be required to support the Vet with procedures as required ensuring we deliver exceptional care to our clients, patients and colleagues whilst maintaining the highest levels of regulatory and operational standards and compliance.

Role Accountabilities

In this role you will:
- Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
- Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
- Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule activities.
- Deliver patient monitoring and care.
- Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
- Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
- Dispense and check medication.
- Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
- Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.
Your Skills and Experience
- RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
- Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
- Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
- Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
- Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
