Medivet Watford Hospital is currently seeking a Night Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their dedicated team at their well‑equipped, busy 24‑hour hospital in Watford, Hertfordshire.
This full‑time, permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to develop nursing skills in medical and surgical nursing, working alongside a veterinary surgeon and another experienced RVN.
Watford is equipped with state‑of‑the‑art facilities and handles a wide and complex caseload, making it an ideal environment for veterinary professionals looking to grow in both first‑opinion and advanced care.
The shift pattern is 7 nights on 7 nights off.

Role Accountabilities

Responsibilities
- Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
- Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post‑procedure activity.
- Carry out nurse‑led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
- Deliver patient monitoring and care.
- Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
- Complete patient transfers to out‑of‑hours or enhanced care.
- Dispense and check medication.
- Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
- Hold briefings to engage and co‑ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.
Your Skills and Experience
- RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
- Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
- Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
- Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
- Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
