Looking to lead a team, working 4 days per week? Medivet New Cross is seeking an experienced and motivated Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to lead our nursing team in a busy, supportive practice in South East London. This is an excellent opportunity to shape clinical standards, mentor and develop nurses, and play a key role in the continued growth of the practice while remaining hands-on clinically.

Located in a vibrant, well-connected community, the practice benefits from strong local engagement and access to Medivet’s wider network, offering excellent clinical resources, CPD, and career progression opportunities.

The role is based on a four-day working week with 9.5-hour shifts, including one in six weekends at our Camberwell hospital, two bank holidays per year, and one on-call week annually.

About you: You’re a RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care. You’re a confident leader with experience of getting the best out of every colleague. We welcome applications from Nurses ready to lead, develop and inspire.

What you’ll be doing: Typically, in this role, you’ll:

  • Deliver exceptional care to patients, leading nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities, supporting consults, surgeries and procedures, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards
  • Deliver patient monitoring and care, and manage admissions and discharges
  • Deliver exceptional care to your clients
  • Provide clinical leadership, inspiration and development to the nursing team
