As a Head Nurse you will be accountable for the clinical leadership of the nursing team ensuring we deliver exceptional care, always there for our clients, patients and colleagues whilst maintaining the highest levels of regulatory, practice and operational standards and compliance.
We are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced and motivated Head Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team at Medivet Borehamwood. This role is ideal for a confident RVN looking to take the next step in leadership while continuing to deliver exceptional patient and client care within a well-established first opinion practice. Borehamwood is a sister clinic to Medivet Watford 24 Hour Hospital, giving the team access to excellent clinical support, advanced facilities, and seamless out-of-hours and referral care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and mentoring the nursing and support team
- Supporting the smooth operational running of the practice
- Delivering high standards of inpatient and patient care
- Assisting with consultations, theatre, and schedule 3 procedures
- Supporting nurse consults and client education
- Managing stock control and maintaining clinical protocols
- Ensuring compliance with RCVS and practice standards
- Helping to drive team engagement and development
We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse who:
- Has previous leadership or senior nursing experience
- Is passionate about delivering outstanding patient and client care
- Works well within a collaborative team environment
- Demonstrates excellent communication and organisational skills
- Is proactive, positive, and supportive of colleague development
- Enjoys a varied caseload and fast-paced environment
- Clinical coaching qualification is desirable but not essential.
