Medivet Battersea offers something that’s hard to find in many nearby GP practices — genuine clinical variety, a steady and loyal caseload, and the support to actually develop your interests rather than just maintain day-to-day consult flow. This is a confident GP Veterinary Surgeon role, working across consults and surgery in a busy, modern practice with strong client engagement and excellent continuity of care. You’ll have the autonomy to shape your clinical direction while still being fully supported by a collaborative team. You’ll be joining a growing team of 2 vets, a graduate vet, RVNs and dedicated support staff, all working together to keep standards high and the environment supportive, without the pressure of being stretched too thin across multiple sites, which is common in many London GP roles.

Unlike many local practices where progression can feel limited by case volume or time constraints, Battersea offers real opportunity to build confidence in both medical and surgical cases, with scope for certificate support and clinical development fully encouraged.

On offer:

  • 4-day working week (part-time considered for the right candidate)
  • 1 in 6 weekends
  • Strong CPD support with certificate funding encouraged
  • Well-equipped, modern clinic in a high-footfall London location
  • Loyal client base with good continuity of care
  • Great location, minutes from Battersea Park and Clapham Junction

Ideal for a vet who wants more than just “another London GP role” — this is a chance to build something meaningful in a practice where you can actually grow. Your career means more than a rota and a job title, that’s why we offer:

  • Health and wellbeing
  • Private Medical Insurance and Health Cash Plan from day one
  • 24/7 counselling and wellbeing support
  • Life Assurance 3 x salary
  • Annual leave
  • 5 weeks’ annual leave plus Bank Holidays, rising with length of service
  • Extra ‘Day for You’, a paid day off just for you

Learning and development:

  • £1,500 CPD allowance plus 3 days’ paid leave per year
  • Access to Clinical Communities, internal CPD and our 24-hour hospitals
  • Funded certificates and internal career pathways

Additional support:

  • RCVS, VDS and BVA fees paid
  • Relocation support and Visa sponsorship available
  • Sabbatical options based on length of service

Lifestyle:

  • Cycle to Work
  • Season Ticket loans
  • Discounts on Medivet products and services

About you:

You’re a qualified MRCVS with a passion for clinical excellence and client care. You’re a team player who wants to make a real difference in a practice that values and supports you.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Deliver exceptional clinical care to patients in consults and surgery to the highest standards of regulatory, practice and operational compliance
  • Develop tailored treatment plans with clients
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive team
  • Share your skills and support our Medivet communities’ development
