Medivet Hendon are recruiting for an experienced RVN, in either wards/inpatient care or surgical nursing. We are looking for someone with hospital experience who strives for clinical excellence and is happy working as part of a large team of RVNs as well as being a clinical coach to one of our SVNs. Additional post graduate certificates/qualifications desirable but not essential.
Medivet Hendon 24-Hour is a bustling hospital, it has recently been recognised as one of London’s best Veterinary practices. Hendon houses an MRI/CT unit and so treats many interesting neurology, medicine, surgical and other cases. Additionally, Hendon 24hr is equipped with endoscopy, arthroscopy, digital x-ray, ultrasound, multi-parameter monitors, in-house bloods and much more! The group is also supported by its own pet blood bank, laboratory as well as other services. Hendon also has a spacious garden, two dedicated staff rooms, a close link to the station as well as a friendly and social team who enjoy their team nights out.
The rota is a 4 day week with weekends on a 1 in 6 basis.

In this role you will:
- Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
- Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
- Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
- Deliver patient monitoring and care.
- Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
- If relevant: Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
- Dispense and check medication.
- Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
- Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.
- RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
- Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
- Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
- Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
- Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
