We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Technical Operations Manager to support the effective delivery of services across our EMEA region. This role sits at the intersection of resource planning, technical operations, and continuous improvement, ensuring optimal utilisation of technical teams while driving efficiency across project delivery and support functions. The successful candidate will play a key role in aligning delivery demands with available resources, improving operational workflows, and supporting the ongoing technical enablement strategy in line with business growth and product direction.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Resource Planning & Scheduling
- Own and manage the allocation of technical resources in response to requests from Delivery Managers and Project Managers.
- Maintain and optimise resource schedules, ensuring alignment with project priorities and timelines.
- Continuously monitor resource utilisation and adjust allocations to maximise efficiency and delivery outcomes.
- Project & Change Coordination
- Track and manage changes across active projects, updating resourcing plans accordingly.
- Collaborate closely with Delivery and Project Management teams to ensure transparency and alignment on resource impacts.
- Technical Support Triage
- Act as a central point for triaging incoming technical support requests.
- Assign appropriate technical resources based on priority, complexity, and skillset.
- Ensure timely resolution by monitoring progress and escalating where necessary.
- Operational Efficiency & Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate how technical resources are utilized across projects and support activities.
- Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimisation in scheduling and delivery practices.
- Lead or contribute to change management initiatives, engaging with CXO leadership and cross‑functional teams.
- Recommend and implement system and process improvements to enhance visibility, tracking, and operational efficiency.
- Technical Enablement Support
- Support the coordination and organization of technical enablement initiatives across the business.
- Work with enablement teams to facilitate cross‑training of Technical Consultants on additional ERP systems aligned with company strategy.
- Assist in enabling Application Consultants to deploy standard ERP connectors with reduced dependency on Technical Consultants.
- Contribute to the upskilling of the wider Medius functions, improving self‑sufficiency in handling standard technical and ERP‑related issues.
- People Management (EMEA)
- Provide line management support for selected team members within the EMEA region, as required.
- Support performance management, development planning, and team engagement initiatives in collaboration with senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in change management, resource management, operations, or project coordination within a SaaS or technology‑driven environment.
- Strong understanding of project delivery lifecycles and technical support processes.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and make data‑driven decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience driving operational improvements and change management initiatives.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels, including senior leadership (CXO).
- Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail and process discipline.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and technical consulting environments is highly desirable.
