Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to play a vital role in driving Medius' net new revenue growth. As a BDR, you will be responsible for researching prospective customers, formulating outreach strategies, and identifying sales opportunities. Through exploratory conversations with potential customers, you will leverage your business acumen to identify how Medius can contribute to their business growth, effectively positioning the value proposition of Medius. This role offers a competitive base salary and commission structure. High-performing and dedicated individuals will have ample opportunities for career development and advancement in direct closing sales, account management, presales, sales enablement and channel development within Medius.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Collaborate closely with account executives to develop and implement effective prospecting strategies.
- Conduct high-volume prospecting through calls, emails, and social media to qualify leads.
- Identify, qualify, and pitch prospects, understanding their challenges and presenting Medius’s value.
- Schedule discovery meetings and demos for account executives to evaluate prospects' business needs and potential partnership opportunities with Medius.
- Conduct qualification calls with assigned prospects.
- Educate companies on the benefits of AP Automation.
- Manage CRM (Salesforce) daily to ensure accurate and up-to-date data.
- Build a strong foundation for a successful career by acquiring essential skills and knowledge to excel as a salesperson, leader, and executive.
- Utilize advanced tech tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo, etc., to maximize efficiency.
Essential Qualifications
- UK based (London or Manchester)
- Excellent oral and written communication in English.
- Bachelor’s Degree with major course work in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field. OR applicable experience with lead generation, cold calling, networking, or other external outreach efforts.
- Passionate about new technologies, SaaS, Fintech, and Spend Management.
- Ability to uncover and understand customer needs.
- Strong listening skills and high emotional intelligence.
- Ability to multi-task, take initiative, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
