We are currently seeking a full-time Pharmacy and Equipment Specialist at our Belfast, N. Ireland site. This person will be primarily responsible for all clinic equipment/maintenance, and secondly assist with the pharmacy technician role.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure pharmacy and clinic equipment is inventoried, maintained and operating properly and perform freezer/refrigeration temperature monitoring and be on call for shutdowns.
  • Enter and update equipment maintenance records using Labnotes system.
  • Validation of equipment-specific software applications.
  • Training of associates on use and maintenance of new and client-supplied equipment.
  • Assist in the management of temperature excursions using viewLinc temperature monitoring system for controlled areas.
  • Perform risk assessment of equipment processes and of equipment-related software.
  • Arrange and accommodate external vendors for equipment-related visits.
  • Assist with client and regulatory inspections.
  • Correspondence with sponsors regarding approval of study-specific equipment.
  • Co-ordinate leasing and renting of clinic equipment.
  • Attend client meetings/tours/closeout visits.
  • Attend internal study initiation meetings.
  • Train as Pharmacy Technician to assist with Pharmacy needs such as receipt, packaging and return of clinical trial products.
  • Assist with study preparation and setup as required.
  • Maintain pharmacy cleanliness, equipment maintenance, security systems and office supplies.

Requirements
  • A-level or equivalent education qualifications, or two years relevant experience required.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required.
  • Excellent customer service skills required.
  • Previous experience with equipment maintenance preferred.
  • Clinical trials and/or Pharmacy experience preferred.
